If you’re into thrillers that mix crime, medicine, and a touch of mystery, get ready for KBS2’s new drama, “Face Me.” It just premiered on November 6, and let me tell you, this one’s already making waves!
The Story
In “Face Me,” we follow Lee Min Ki as Cha Jeong Woo, a super-skilled but icy plastic surgeon, and Han Ji Hyun as Lee Min Hyeong, a detective who’s all heart. Jeong Woo and Min Hyeong cross paths in the most intense way possible, they team up to help crime victims by literally “fixing” them, inside and out. Think of it as crime-solving through reconstructive surgery. It’s a partnership full of tension, but they each bring something the other needs.
What’s Going On?
Cha Jeong Woo didn’t start out in plastic surgery. He was once an emergency doc, saving lives on the front lines, until he lost his girlfriend in a mysterious accident. The heartbreak drove him to a new career as a top plastic surgeon, where he can stay emotionally distant. But, a tragic incident shakes him up, a patient he turned away later dies, leaving behind a note blaming him. This guilt starts eating away at him, and he realizes he can’t just close himself off anymore. So, Jeong Woo decides to help crime victims as a kind of redemption.
Enter Min Hyeong, a detective who’s as passionate about helping victims as Jeong Woo once was. She’s not afraid to push him, challenging his cool detachment. Together, they start digging into dark, twisted cases, each more mysterious than the last. And as if the stakes weren’t high enough, there’s this eerie voice (creepy, right?) hinting that Jeong Woo might have connections to the crimes they’re investigating. Talk about suspense!
