Is Kim Da Mi a Killer? Son Suk Ku Hunts the Truth in Nine Puzzles

A Teaser That Sends Chills

K-drama fans, buckle up, the teaser for Nine Puzzles has dropped, and it’s a full-blown mind game. With Son Suk Ku playing a relentless detective and Kim Da Mi as a profiler with a shadowy past, this upcoming 2025 Kdrama is giving Signal meets Flower of Evil vibes.

Trailer Breakdown – Scene by Scene

The teaser opens on a cold, rainy night, the kind of scene that just screams something terrible is about to happen. Young Yoon I-na (Kim Da Mi) is seen standing in shock at a murder scene. Her clothes are soaked, the street is dimly lit, and in her trembling hands… she’s holding a puzzle piece. One tiny clue to a huge crime: the brutal murder of her uncle, who raised her like a father.

Then, bam, we jump ten years ahead.

The screen cuts to Detective Han Saem (Son Suk Ku), who hasn’t let the case go. With piercing eyes and a low voice, he says, “I still believe Yoon I-na is the prime suspect.” The tension is so thick, it’s unreal. And I-na’s response? Chilling. She softly asks, “Do you think I did it?” Her face is unreadable, like she herself doesn’t fully know what’s hidden in her memories.

From there, the trailer spirals into flashes of violent crime scenes, shadowy alleys, blurred figures, and, of course, more puzzle pieces turning up next to dead bodies. It’s eerie, psychological, and shot beautifully. There’s also this haunting piano melody mixed with the sound of rain that follows the entire trailer like a heartbeat. It just adds to the pressure.

The teaser ends with three bold phrases flashing across the screen:

“Missing memories, mysterious puzzle, resumed murders,”
followed by intense scenes of the investigation team trying to put the clues together to solve the case. It’s like the calm before a storm of shocking revelations.

You also get glimpses of confrontation scenes between Han Saem and I-na, where they’re clearly struggling to work together on these new killings. He can’t trust her, and she’s trying to solve murders that might be connected to a past she doesn’t fully remember. The vibe? Dark, intimate, and dangerous.

Who’s Behind It

Directed by Yoon Jong-bin (Narco-Saints), and written by Lee Emi, this thriller brings a sharp edge and moody realism. And let’s not ignore the chemistry, Son Suk Ku and Kim Da Mi together? We’re sold.
